Drop Off Your Waste

Waste depots are operated by York Region. You can drop off your waste at a depot when:

• You want to dispose of items not collected at your residence/curb/etc.
• You have too much material to set out on your collection day
• You don't want to hold on to material until your next collection day
• You missed your collection day

Please note there is also a fee for dropping off regular garbage.

Some items are only accepted at specific waste drop-off depots. These items require special handling and include:

• Hazardous waste
• Electronics
• Cooking oil
• Tires
• Reusable items

Community Environmental Centre

Residents can conveniently drop off certain materials, including, textiles, recycling, building materials, appliances and metal goods at the Elgin Mills Community Environmental Centre (CEC).
